12-Year-Old Injured in Hit-and-Run on White Heather Drive — Mother Seeks Public’s Help
On Friday, March 21, a Peep’s 12-year-old son Christopher was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on White Heather Drive near Simbrook, close to West Fuqua and Buffalo Speedway. The driver responsible fled the scene, leaving the Christopher behind.
According to Christopher’s mother, he sustained multiple injuries, including a skull fracture with minor brain trauma, a fractured hip and pelvis, lung damage, and a lower back fracture. Despite his condition, Christopher is showing progress. Hospital staff have begun teaching him how to use a wheelchair, which has been ordered and is expected to arrive Monday. He will remain in the hospital until it arrives.
Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a black car. Two rearview mirrors were left behind at the scene. The Houston Police Department is actively investigating.
