Houston — A family is seeking answers and justice after a 20-year-old man was ambushed, robbed, and humiliated in a disturbing incident that took place early Saturday morning near the Haverstock area in northeast Houston.
According to relatives, the young man had just gotten his hair braided and was leaving the apartment of the woman who did his hair when he was suddenly surrounded by a group of unknown individuals. The suspects allegedly held him at gunpoint and forced him to remove all of his clothing, including his wallet and personal belongings.
Around 3 AM, a Hood News Peep received a call from the Houston Police Department notifying them that their son had been found without any clothes. The victim managed to flee the scene, running from the Beltway 8 and Lee Road area to Glennbarrow, eventually reaching a nearby police substation for help. While he was escaping, the suspects reportedly fired shots into the air.
A video of the incident has since surfaced on social media, appearing to show the young man being threatened and stripped by the suspects. The family is now asking for the public’s help in identifying those involved, as well as the owner of the social media account that posted the footage.
