The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Division is taking over an investigation after a 7-year-old girl was shot in the leg at the Inwood Grove Apartments in the 7300 block of Alabonson Road.
Constable Precinct One Deputies were first on scene after reports of a child being shot. The little girl was transported to the hospital for medical treatment and is in stable condition.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and whether charges are warranted. Any potential charges will be presented to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
