On Sunday, August 11, 2024, around 7 p.m., a two-vehicle crash occurred on the East Freeway. A white Chrysler sedan collided with a Jeep Wrangler, causing the Jeep to overturn and eject two young children who were not secured by safety seats. Fortunately, all involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to local hospitals. The incident is under investigation, and no charges have been filed yet.
