A Fourth Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting of 18-Year-Old Miguel “Mickey” Gonzalez Jr.
A fourth suspect, 19 year-old J’lon Dakarai Griffin, has been arrested and charged with capital murder in connection to the March 1 fatal shooting of Miguel “Mickey” Gonzalez Jr., 18, at the Willow Green Apartments.
Griffin joins three other arrested suspects: Andres Garcia, 20, Joshua Richards, 17, and a 16-year-old juvenile male. All of them are facing capital murder charges. Due to his age, the identity and booking photo of the juvenile hasnt been released.
According to investigators, Miguel was lured to the complex under the pretense of purchasing items. Instead, he was ambushed, robbed at gunpoint, and fatally shot. Two other males were also shot during the incident and transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition. One of those injured was later identified as Garcia.
Griffin was identified through further investigation and arrested on June 3 for his role in the fatal shooting.
