POKÉMON DAY BRINGS EARLY MORNING CROWD, DRAMA REPORTED AT SAM’S CLUB ON SOUTH RICE

Today is Pokémon Day, marking the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, which first launched in 1996. Retailers nationwide released special Pokémon Trading Card Game anniversary bundles, drawing early morning lines.

At the Sam’s Club on South Rice near the Galleria, people reportedly began lining up around 4:30 AM, and some line drama was reported during the drop.
