New details have been sent in regarding the truck that crashed into a ditch near Cypresswood and Holzwarth Rd.
A Hood News Peep who lives less than a mile from the crash scene said the man had been at their apartment complex shortly before the wreck. According to Hood News Peeps, the man had allegedly been drinking at the apartment pool and got into an altercation with a woman.
The Hood News Peep said the man was later seen revving the truck’s engine, peeling out and speeding throughout the apartment complex while several residents were outside trying to figure out what was happening.
Video captured the truck peeling out of an apartment shortly before the crash.
The Hood News Peep said Texas Department of Public Safety troopers arrived at the apartment complex after the disturbance occurred. The woman who had reportedly been with the man was placed in handcuffs. It is unknown whether she was charged with anything.
HCSO and Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Deputies responded to the crash, and the man was placed in handcuffs at the scene. It remains unknown what charges, if any, he may face or whether anyone was injured.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
