Abed Carrion Gets 2 Years Probation for Beating Small Dog Who Remains Missing
Abed Carrion, 22, has been sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to a felony charge of animal cruelty. Carrion was convicted for repeatedly punching a small terrier named Koko in the face, an act captured on in-home surveillance video.
Koko is believed to have survived the abuse but was reportedly abandoned along a road in the Magnolia area. Her current whereabouts are unknown, though there is hope she may have been rescued and found a new home.
This case was investigated by Harris County Constable Precinct One Animal Cruelty detectives in coordination with the Houston SPCA. Authorities emphasize they will continue pursuing those who abuse animals, while the courts determine sentencing.
