A 30-year-old man in the Harris County Jail died after having a medical emergency and was pronounced deceased at a nearby hospital. HPD is now investigating what happened, and an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death. HCSO Internal Affairs Division is also investigating to see if all policies and procedures were followed.
