According to the HPD, the crash occurred around 1:35 PM in the 1000 block of North Loop East (I-610) on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Ivory was driving a white Ford Econoline van southbound when he made an unsafe lane change and struck a yellow Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The 47 year-old motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle and struck a concrete barrier along the freeway.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Ivory was not injured and remained at the scene. However, responding officers reported that he exhibited signs of impairment.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted, and Ivory was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.
Ivory has been charged with intoxication assault in the 180th Criminal District Court, according to HPD.
