A Hood News Peep spotted a man and woman stealing underground cables near North Freeway and FM 1960. He followed the suspects and snapped some photos before the pair took off at a high speed.
The thieves make money because of the value of the copper inside the wires. They go scrap thebcopper wiring and make some money, but this causes disruptions to power or internet for those who are in the area. According to the Peep, the Bandits use their loser cruiser to pull the line out of the ground. They stole a few hundred yards of wire.
