Case Update: Brandyn Hargrove
Former Brazosport ISD teacher Brandyn Hargrove is scheduled to appear in Judge Chad Bradshaw’s 300th District Court at the Brazoria County Justice Center on August 27 for a plea setting hearing to formally announce how they intend to plead to the charges — guilty, not guilty, or no contest. Her trial remains set for September 8, 2025.
Hargrove faces 12 counts of sexual misconduct involving a minor, including six counts of sexual assault of a child, four counts of indecency with a child by contact, and two counts of indecency with a child by exposure. The charges stem from allegations of a sexual relationship with a female Brazoswood High School student that began in December 2007, when the student was under the age of 17.
Hargrove has been free on $240,000 bond since her indictment. Under Texas law, minors younger than 17 cannot legally consent, and there is no statute of limitations for sexual assault of a child or indecency with a child.
