Charges have been filed against JaMari Mari Bailey, and Marybeth Clarisa Rodriguez in the death of an infant boy at 3300 Cummins St on the morning on June 23, 2024.
The suspects, Bailey, 21, and Rodriguez, 22, are charged with injury to a child – serious bodily injury in the 184th State District Court.
They are accused for their roles in the death of a two month baby boy.
On June 16, of last year, Bailey and Rodriguez brought their baby to an urgent care center as he appeared ill. Due to the severity of his injuries, the baby was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital. Doctors pronounced the baby deceased on June 23.
An investigation determined the baby had suffered extensive injuries and trauma. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Rodriguez and Bailey were subsequently charged. Rodriguez and Bailey were arrested on Wednesday without incident and booked into the Harris County Jail.
