Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an apartment complex in the 21800 block of Northcrest Dr after a 4-year-old child was found wandering alone outside.
Concerned staff located the child and kept him safe while attempting to contact a parent. Deputies quickly arrived on scene and began searching for the child’s mother.
The mother was later located.
EMS was requested to evaluate both the child and mother. As part of protocol, Child Protective Services (CPS) was notified.
Thanks to quick action, the child was safely cared for and the situation was brought under control.
