Conroe Family Seeks Help After Tree Destroys Vehicle: “We Just Want Accountability”

Conroe, TX – A family is asking for help after a century-old tree reportedly fell on their parked truck, causing significant damage. The incident occurred about a month ago in Conroe, and according to the family, they had previously reported concerns about the tree to city authorities.
Despite those reports, the Peep states that the City of Conroe has allegedly denied responsibility, citing no negligence since no one was injured during the incident. The family’s vehicle, now totaled, was fully paid off. Unfortunately, their insurance only covers liability, leaving them without coverage for the damage.
The city reportedly transferred the case to its insurance provider, but on May 16th, the family says they were informed the case had been closed without compensation. “We don’t want anything more than to be reimbursed for our truck,” one family member said.
The family says they have contacted multiple attorneys, but were turned away since no physical harm was involved. Now, they’re speaking out publicly in hopes of finding support or legal guidance.
Does anybody know what the peep can do?
