Constable Mark Herman’s Special Victims Unit was contacted by Arlington (TX) Police Department after a female victim reported being assaulted by a male companion while in Harris County. Arlington investigators documented the victim’s injuries and referred the case to Constable Herman’s Office for follow-up.
Detectives determined the victim and the suspect, identified as Danilo Javier Osorio Mendez, both reside in Arlington and were staying together in a Harris County motel for work. During the stay, detectives allege the defendant became intoxicated, assaulted the victim, dragged her back into the motel room after she attempted to escape, and stabbed her, leaving her on the floor of the room.
Danilo Osorio Mendez is currently wanted by law enforcement on charges of Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, and Assault Impeding Breath. Bond has not been set at this time by the 487th District Court.
