HPD is investigating a deadly crash that happened around 10:30 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 31, near 4500 Neal St in Southeast Houston.
The victim, identified as 48-year-old Joel Fraustro, was a passenger in a silver Lexus LS-430 that was speeding north on Neal Street. The driver ran a stop sign and hit a blue Chevrolet Silverado heading west on Glenview Drive.
The crash sent the Silverado spinning into a front yard at 8353 Glenview, while the Lexus spun into a nearby house and stopped on the east side. Mr. Fraustro was taken to the hospital, where he later died. The Silverado driver had minor injuries and was also treated at a hospital.
The driver of the Lexus, a 37-year-old man, ran to a house at 8245 Glenview but was later arrested on unrelated charges. Police are still investigating the crash
