A disturbing attack on an elderly man with sickle cell anemia and schizophrenia has surfaced on Instagram showing the victim being violently beaten. He was walking to a store. The incident occurred near Greens Road and Imperial Valley in Greenspoint.
According to the victim’s family, the man was ambushed without warning by a group of individuals who not only attacked him but also recorded the assault as if it were a form of entertainment.
“This is not a game,” said a family member. “He could have lost his life. He has already faced so many challenges in life, and for someone to beat him for fun is disgusting.”
Making the situation even more troubling, the family claims that one of the attackers caught on camera is a known offender currently wearing an ankle monitor. The video reportedly shows this individual striking the older man repeatedly and without provocation.
The family describes the incident as “sad and miserable,” calling for immediate action and justice.
“Our uncle did nothing to deserve this,” they added. “We’re heartbroken and disgusted.”
