Dear Elsik High School parents,
families, I believe it Is Important to inform you of situations on our campus, even if your child may not have been directly impacted. We received information this morning that student was allegedly in possession of a Kitchen knife on campus. In an abundance of caution, school administrators and the Alief ISD Police Department responded immediately, and the campus was placed on lockdown. Once all involved parties were apprehended, the campus was placed in
secure status and shortly thereafter, the instructional day will continue as scheduled. I want to assure you, appropriate disciplinary consequences will apply, but federal law prohibits us from sharing specific information. Please know, we always take these situations seriously and investigate them fully. There is nothing more important to us than the safety of our students and staff. I also want to remind and encourage everyone to practice, see something, say
