Florencio Ramirez Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Hardy Toll Road, Driver Arrested
46-year-old Florencio Ramirez is the man who lost his life in a tragic wrong-way crash on March 8, 2025, along the 13800 block of the Hardy Toll Road.
Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the scene, where they confirmed that Ramirez had died from injuries sustained in the collision.
The other driver, identified as Jasmine Arteaga, was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. As part of the investigation, authorities obtained a legal blood draw.
According to official records, Arteaga was later arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of Intoxication Manslaughter. Court documents indicate her bond was set at $250,000 in the 338th District Court.
Florencio’s daughter stated,
“My dad passed away Saturday morning in an accident on his way to work. He was hit by an intoxicated driver. I would like to spread awareness so more people THINK before they drink and drive!”
