A Hood News Peep is speaking out after a frightening encounter near West Road and I-45. On Tuesday, she went to the Wells Fargo bank in the area to deposit a check and withdraw some cash. Not realizing anyone was following her, she headed straight home.
Just two minutes after pulling into her driveway, a vehicle that had parked a few houses down suddenly pulled up to her car. A man got out and tried to open her door—apparently thinking she had already gone inside. She was still in her vehicle and immediately called the police. The suspect fled.
Deputies informed her that this kind of incident is happening more often, especially involving women who are followed from banks.
This Hood News Peep is a mother of four and is deeply shaken by what happened right outside her own home. She’s sharing her story to warn others—especially women—to stay alert, watch their surroundings, and be extra cautious when leaving the bank.
