A former youth football coach in La Porte has been arrestred after La Porte Police say they uncovered tens of thousands of files containing child sexual abuse material tied to his phone and online accounts.
Dallas Vernon Lott, 47, is charged with possession of child pornography, according to court records. We’ve learned that Lott previously was the president of the La Porte Cowboys & Cowgirls youth football organization.
According to investigators, the case began in August 2025 when Verizon flagged suspected downloads of child sexual abuse material to Lott’s phone and cloud accounts.
Investigators ultimately found 48,620 files containing child sexual abuse material on devices seized from Lott’s La Porte home.
When confronted by police, Lott admitted to downloading the images and videos. Detectives outlined the content on his phone and it’s beyond disturbing.
Lott was arrested March 10 and booked into jail where he remains on a $50,000 bond.
