FRAUD SUSPECT WANTED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT AFTER STEALING OVER $45,000 FROM ELDERLY VICTIM
On October 9, 2025, a Deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 12400 block of Cypress Rosehill in reference to a reported fraud and theft involving unauthorized withdrawals from a customer’s bank account.
Upon arrival, the investigation revealed that between October 8 and October 9, 2025, a male suspect impersonated the account holder and attempted multiple large cash withdrawals at several bank locations throughout Harris County and in Beaumont, Texas.
The victim, who resides in Maryland, confirmed he did not authorize any withdrawals and does not know the suspect. As a result of the fraud scheme, the victim suffered an estimated loss of approximately $45,000, while the financial institution incurred an additional loss of approximately $22,000.
After a thorough investigation utilizing video surveillance footage, bank records, and witness statements, the suspect was positively identified as John Alexander.
“John Alexander is currently wanted by law enforcement for Fraudulent use of Identifying Information to an Elderly. His bond has not been set at this time out of the 488th District Court.
