Heavy Traffic and Law Enforcement Presence in Galveston – Stay Safe!
The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office is informing drivers to be aware of extremely heavy traffic heading west on the island today, Friday, March 7. Expect long delays as many students are traveling to the area for an unsanctioned event known as “Senior Skip Day.”
Law enforcement will have an increased presence in the area and will be actively enforcing laws to ensure safety.
If you’re out there—especially students—please be cautious, make responsible choices, and stay safe. Traffic congestion and large crowds can create dangerous situations, so please be safe.
