A Hood News Peep was involved in a hit-and-run accident on January 13, 2026, at approximately 10 AM, near the intersection of Spencer Road/FM 529 and Glenstein Drive. A black Dodge TRX appeared behind the Hood News Peep’s vehicle and remained closely behind until reaching the intersection, which does not have a camera. At that point, the driver of the Dodge TRX accelerated and struck the Hood News Peep’s vehicle from the rear before fleeing the scene. The Hood News Peep was shaken and unable to pursue the truck after the collision.
