On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Pct. 1 Constable Deputies responded to a shooting at the 5900 block of Caruso Forest, near Antoine and W. Gulf Bank. Upon arrival, they discovered 58-year-old Debra Carrington deceased from gunshot wounds.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives identified Gregory Brown, Debra’s estranged ex-boyfriend, as the suspect. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Yesterday, members of the HCSO Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) attempted to serve the warrant at Brown’s residence on Colfax Street, near Lockwood. Brown barricaded himself inside the home. HPD SWAT later entered the residence and found that Brown had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. We covered it via FB Live.
Investigators believe Brown acted alone, and no other suspects are being sought at this time. Prayers for Ms. Carrington and her family.
