A Hood News Peep who is also an Uber driver, was met with an unexpected and disturbing sight after returning to her vehicle outside the Harris County courthouse. Around 7:30 AM yesterday, the she drove a passenger to court at 1400 Lubbock Street. When she got back to her car, she found what appeared to be an official tow receipt on her windshield—but something was off.
While the form itself appeared legit, similar to those used by towing companies, the handwritten information was clearly fake. Even more troubling, the note included derogatory comments about the driver’s weight, referring to her with offensive terms such as “torta.”
The incident has left the driver feeling targeted and disrespected. “People are such haters,” she said after discovering the note.
It’s unknown if this was an isolated act of harassment or part of a larger pattern of intimidation.
