HPD is investigating a shooting near Telephone Road and the Gulf Freeway late this morning. Around 11:05 AM, officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of the Gulf Freeway after reports of gunfire. A confrontation between a male and female escalated, and a gun was fired. A male was shot and transported to a nearby hospital, and his condition is unknown. Two white pickup trucks are seen with their doors open, along with a METRO bus right behind them. Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
