HPD has released a photo of a person of interest wanted for questioning in connection to the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old security guard at 7084 Bissonnet around 9:30 PM last week on Monday, February 9.
The location had signage on the outside reading “Cargo Express,” but the business was operating as an illegal game room. The identity of the victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to HPD, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the address and were flagged down by a woman. She told officers she was at a nearby location when a male fleeing the area stated there had been a shooting inside the game room and told her to call police.
Paramedics with the HFD arrived on scene. HPD officers and HFD personnel forced entry into the business, where they located the male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
