HPD is asking for the public’s help in finding 38-year-old Omar Marzouk, who is wanted for murder after a deadly shooting that happened around 12:30 AM on Wednesday (July 31) near 2528 Calumet Street.
32-year-old Jimmy Arevalo was outside power washing at a business when he was approached by Marzouk. Witnesses said the two got into an argument that quickly escalated. Jimmy was shot, and Marzouk took off in a gray Toyota Tundra.
Detectives with HPD Homicide Division identified Marzouk and filed murder charges through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. He is still on the run.
