HPD is asking the public for help identifying a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old male at 4512 Katy Freeway service road around 7:50 AM on September 30.The person of interest is described as a male with short hair and possibly a mustache. Surveillance photos released by HPD show the individual, who is not charged, and was seen with the victim before the incident. A photo of the victim is also attached.
The victim has been identified as 16-year-old Franklin Torres-Concho.
Officers responded to reports of a person down at the location and found Franklin unresponsive in a vacant lot with multiple stab wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Franklin was known to frequent the Katy Fwy area near Shepherd Dr, Yale Street, West 11th St, and Washington Ave. The person of interest was last seen with him before his death.
