On Monday night, we reported that a man was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Idlewood Park Apartments off W. Bellfort and S. Kirkwood in Alief. Here’s an update:
HPD is asking for the public’s help.
Surveillance photos have been released of persons of interest and their vehicles wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old man that occurred at 11675 West Bellfort Avenue around 7:30 PM on Monday, September 15.
The persons of interest are described only as a male and female on a motorcycle and an individual connected to a dark-colored Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex at that location and found the victim lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and then saw a male and female leaving on a motorcycle. A dark-colored Dodge Ram pickup was also seen leaving the area. That truck was later spotted with multiple bullet holes near the 11700 block of Beechnut.
That same night, while I was reporting the incident, a Hood News Peep reached out about a truck with bullet holes not too far from the crime scene. When I pulled up, HPD was already in the Walmart parking lot investigating a Dodge Ram truck that appeared to have been shot at multiple times.
The victim, is a Hood News Peep’s brother. He had only been living at the apartment complex for about two weeks. Please help this family get answers.
