Austin Kanuch was murdered in his home in September 2023. His killer is still out there, and his family is still waiting for answers.
To honor Austin’s life and memory, we gathered with his family, friends, members of the community, and officials for the unveiling of a memorial bench at Cypress Park.
The memorial is a reminder that Austin will not be forgotten, and neither will the fight for justice in his case.
Investigators say that on Friday, September 22, 2023, around 4:00 AM, someone broke into Austin’s home in the 8600 block of Greenleaf Lake Dr. in west Harris County while he was asleep and stabbed him to death.
The suspect left the area on a mountain-bike-style bicycle.
Austin’s family is heartbroken and asking anyone with information to please come forward.
