Bellville Police Department reported the following:
As of 6:00 AM on Friday, January 24, 2025, escaped inmate Salvador Saucedo remains at large. Law enforcement agencies have been actively searching for him throughout the night, employing heat-detection drones, K-9 units, and other resources. There have been no confirmed sightings since the early evening following his escape.
Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant. Saucedo, a registered sex offender, may still be in the Bellville area, though his current whereabouts are unknown. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Austin County Sheriff’s Office at 979-865-3111 or dial 911.
