Arrest update to recent shooting (2-2-25) in the Cloverleaf-area, East Harris County:
The victim was identified as Joshua Lafrance (21).
The alleged suspect was identified as Julian Vella (17 yrs, 12-2-07, photo below).
Today, with assistance from the U.S. Marshal’s GCVOTF and the Austin Police Department, Vella was arrested on our Capital Murder warrant in connection with this case. Vella was booked in the Travis County Jail.
Great work by our Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 3 patrol, Homicide/CSI and all others involved in developing this case. Our condolences go out to the victim’s family.
