League City police have arrested 38-year-old Isaiah Johnson of Magnolia in connection with the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old woman Monday afternoon.
Police were called around 2:25 PM to the Harbor Walk Apartments on FM 518, where they found the woman inside a Toyota Corolla with multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives quickly began investigating, interviewing witnesses, and collecting evidence. They identified Johnson as the suspect and learned he had left the area in a Hyundai Santa Fe.
A short time later, Johnson turned himself in at the Galveston Police Department without incident. By about 11 PM Monday, League City detectives had filed a murder charge against him, which was accepted by the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office.
