Founded in 1975 by four friends with a shared love of firearms, Collectors Firearms began as a modest 600-square-foot shop on the corner of Richmond and Fondren in Houston, Texas. When two partners had to step away early on, Mike Clark and Jerry Fountain carried the vision forward, determined to make the business succeed.

Over the next decade, the shop grew from a small local store into one of the most respected names in the firearms community. After Mike Clark became sole owner, he continued to expand the business, moving to a 12,000-square-foot location in 1994 to accommodate its growing collection and customer base.
