Man Charged After 8-Year-Old Boy Dies from Suspected Abuse in Highlands
On February 10, 2025, HCSO Deputies responded to a hospital at 4400 block of Garth Rd (Baytown) after an 8-year-old boy was transported with multiple injuries. The child remained in critical condition for several days before tragically passing away. His injuries were consistent with abuse, and investigators believe the abuse occurred at a residence in the 100 block of Greendell Street, near N. Main Street (Highlands).
Following an investigation, Homicide Detectives charged 18-year-old Nolan Stallings (DOB: 2/19/07) with the felony offense of Injury to a Child on March 3, 2025. Stallings has since been booked into the Harris County Jail.
Stallings was in a dating relationship with the victim’s sister.
