Murder Suspect Angel Gomez Montanez Wanted by HCSO
HCSO is looking for 21-year-old Angel Gomez Montanez, who is wanted for the murder of 18-year-old Christopher Rodriguez Lara.
The shooting happened around 10:11 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in the 17000 block of Butte Creek Road, near Kuykendahl and FM 1960.
When deputies arrived, they found Rodriguez Lara unresponsive with gunshot wounds. EMS arrived shortly after and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Detectives say the shooting started after an argument between the two over rent. A murder charge has been filed, and a warrant has been issued for Gomez Montanez’s arrest.
