Off-Duty Officer Intervenes in Disturbance at CVS on Cullen Boulevard; Suspects Threaten and Strike Vehicle with Children Inside
Today, an off-duty Officer stepped in during a heated disturbance at the CVS located in the 10200 block of Cullen Boulevard after witnessing a man and woman allegedly threaten a store cashier.
According to the officer, the couple was verbally aggressive toward the cashier and reportedly threatened to assault her and take her phone. The officer, who identified himself as law enforcement, approached the pair to intervene. Initially mistaking him for a security guard, the suspects allegedly began directing verbal threats toward him. After being informed that he was a police officer, they reportedly escalated their threats, including one to damage his personal vehicle.
As the suspects exited the store, they allegedly struck the officer’s off-duty vehicle, where his two daughters and 14-year-old nephew were seated inside.
