Rat Infestation at Emory West Cypress Apartments

A Hood News Peep is speaking out anonymously about a rat infestation at Emory West Cypress Apartments, located near Clay and Fry Road. According to the Peep, multiple units in the complex are affected, creating unsafe and unsanitary living conditions.

After reporting the issue to management, they were given three options: transfer to another unit, terminate the lease early with an alleged almost $6,000 penalty, or stay while repairs continue. With the lease running through September, none of the options feel fair.

“I shouldn’t be financially punished just for wanting to feel safe in my home,” the Peep said in FB Messenger. They believe relocating within the same complex won’t solve the problem and now feel stuck between poor options.
