Yesterday, my 6-year-old son and I had the most terrifying experience of our lives. We were on Red Bluff in Pasadena, waiting to turn into a Little Caesars, when gunshots suddenly rang out. I saw a man with a large black rifle shooting at another vehicle. While they weren’t aiming at us, our car was hit in the crossfire.
Thankfully, my son, who was in the back seat, is okay, but I can’t stop thinking about how I almost lost him. Pasadena PD has footage of one of the vehicles involved, and from what I saw, one of the cars was red. It all happened so fast, and my main concern was keeping my son safe, so I didn’t catch more details.
I hope the Pasadena Police Department can find the shooter(s) and prevent something like this from happening again. No one should ever have to go through what we did, and I wouldn’t wish that fear on anyone. Please be careful if you’re in the area, and if anyone has any information, I urge you to report it to the authorities.
