A Young Man With Hoop Dreams” — Walk to Honor LePaul Warren
The SW Walk Against Gun Violence will bring Southwest Houston together on October 3 to honor LePaul Warren, 17, and others lost to gun violence.
The peaceful walk will begin near Westbury High School and end at Willow Waterhole Greenway. It will run from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
HPD officers found LePaul with a gunshot wound in the 5400 block of Dryad Dr around 8:20 AM on Friday, Sept 25. HFD paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
That same day, HPD arrested Travoris Jarrell Hines, 17. He is charged with murder in the 497th Criminal District Court and has been booked into the Harris County Jail. Police say Hines admitted to his role in the shooting. The attached photo is his booking photo
