A vigil was held this morning by family and friends of Jose Godinez, the young man who was shot and killed last week on Goldcrest near Sam Houston High School. Our prayers and condolences to his family and loved ones. As of right now, no arrests have been made.

The Case of Luis Deleon

Jonathan Hernandez, 18, is charged with capital murder and tampering with evidence – human corpse in the 248th State District Court. On February 15, the U.S. Marshals Office’s Fugitive Task Force and Mexican authorities arrested Hernandez in Mexico. He was extradited back to Texas and booked into the Harris County Jail. His bond is set at $800K.

Man Sleeping in Truck Fends Off Armed Bandit

Authorities responded to a shooting incident at an apartment complex on Paramatta LN near 1960. HCSO Deputies and investigators arrived at the scene to find a man sleeping in the back seat of his 4-door pickup truck. Suddenly, a male, possibly armed with pistols, entered the truck and attempted to rob the sleeping man.

Justice for Bill Update!

UPDATE: Wallick Thompson Captured for Bill Satterfield’s Murder Wallick Thompson, wanted for the murder of Bill Satterfield, has been captured in 3rd Ward by HPD detectives. Thompson’s bond is set at $2 million. Gratitude to HPD for their diligence. Thompson’s arrest brings hope for justice to Bill’s family after almost three years of waiting.
