Three suspects were arrested after an HPD officer discharged his weapon during a robbery-related incident at 6200 Lyons Avenue around 11:50 p.m. on April 10. Officer O. Martin, a recent graduate assigned to Northeast Patrol, fired his weapon when the suspects’ vehicle drove toward him, but no one was injured.
The driver, Ronny Leonardo Hernandez (18), is charged with aggravated assault of a public servant. The passengers, Cristian Rolando Gutierrez Bonilla (19) and Victor Jesus Rauda Lopez (20), are charged with criminal trespass. After fleeing the scene, the suspects were arrested on Wallisville Road. Police recovered three firearms—one in the vehicle and two discarded during the chase.
The incident is under investigation by HPD’s Special Investigations Unit and Internal Affairs, while the robbery investigation continues separately.
