Early this morning, a tragic crash caused by a wrong-way driver claimed the lives of Mila’s mother and brother. Mila and her father were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
This family is going through an unimaginable loss—let’s lift them up in prayer and surround them with love during this devastating time.
Softball is more than just a game. It’s about the players that become friends, and the friends that become family. Last night after our tournament in Dallas, Mila’s family was involved in a head on collision with a wrong way driver. Mila’s mother Brittany and her younger brother DJ both tragically lost their lives. Mila and her father Dario are currently in critical condition.
Please pray as hard as you can for our #22. Mila you are a dawg and we know you’ve got that fight in you, and there’s 10 teammates cheering you on like never before. Dario, we know you’ve got that dawg in you too! Brittany you will be missed by everyone. You were always there for your kids and were the best mother and wife to Dario that you could possibly be. DJ, we’re going to miss watching you play baseball with the other siblings. May the lord wrap his arms around you and your mom and may yall rest easy.
Finally, please pray for our girls. This will be a tough road for them to travel. May they walk it without unnecessary burden. Processing things like this at 10 isn’t easy, but we as parents and coaches are here for them.
The softball community is small and this one is going to hurt for a long while.
