HPD responded to a double homicide on E. 37th St. near North Main, where two women were fatally shot. The suspect, believed to be one victim’s ex-boyfriend, fled the scene. HPD set up a perimeter to search. The incident occurred last night, with security footage showing the suspect lurking beforehand. Among the victims is Mary Arrendondo, a mother of four. A fundraiser for her and her children is scheduled for Sunday at America Legion Post 578. The person of interest in the case unalived himself. The community mourns and seeks justice for the victims.
