Judge Peebles had quite an encounter after witnessing a woman stealing merchandise from Academy Sports + Outdoors on FM 1960, across from Willowbrook Mall in Houston.
According to a FB Post, the woman walked right past them as store personnel attempted to speak with her about the merchandise. Judge Peebles wasn’t about to let the situation go unnoticed and followed the woman on foot across the busy FM 1960 while the witness called 911 and contacted Academy to provide updates on their location.
The woman eventually abandoned the merchandise and walked away, dropping her cellphone in the process.
Then, things took another turn as Judge Peebles was preparing to leave.
The woman returned and confronted Judge Peebles, demanding her phone back. Judge Peebles informed her that she could retrieve it from the police.
During the confrontation, another woman arrived in a black vehicle and allegedly pretended to be with Academy security. While the first woman was attacking Judge Peebles, he handed over the recovered merchandise to the woman in the black vehicle.
Unfortunately, Judge Peebles’ cellphone was also handed over with the merchandise.
It was later discovered that the woman in the black vehicle was working with the original suspect and was not actually with Academy security.
A police report has since been filed regarding the incident.
The individuals involved are hoping to identify the woman pictured in connection with this incident.
