Urgent: Assistance Needed to Identify Suspect in Child Shooting Incident

 

 

 

Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect vehicle and a person of interest in connection with the shooting of a seven-year-old boy. The incident occurred at 7900 Corporate Drive on Sunday, April 14.

Suspect Vehicle Description: A gray Toyota Avalon, noted for having damage on the front left side and the back passenger side.

Person of Interest Description: A black female, distinguished by her pink shoes.

The young male victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition. HPD Major Assaults and Family Violence Division detectives, O. Tapia and Q. Nguyen, reported that HPD patrol officers were dispatched to the shooting site where they found the juvenile receiving first aid from paramedics. He had sustained a gunshot wound.

During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect, possibly a black male with locks, fired at individuals in a blue truck, inadvertently hitting the victim who was on a nearby sidewalk. The suspect’s vehicle was seen fleeing the scene. Investigators have identified a person of interest who may have information regarding the suspect’s identity.
