A Hood News Peep is asking for help identifying a woman involved in an incident near Hardy Road and Hill Road.
According to the family, the woman seen in this video was involved in a minor crash with the victim’s 55-year-old mother’s truck. The family says the mother, who primarily speaks Spanish, told the woman she was going to call her boyfriend, who speaks English, to help communicate.
The family alleges that an altercation followed and that the woman pepper sprayed the 55-year-old mother. The family says she was later transported to the hospital, where she was treated after experiencing elevated blood pressure and respiratory irritation that they believe was caused by pepper spray.
According to the family, responding officers advised them that the available video does not appear to capture the alleged pepper spray incident. Because of that, the family says no assault-related charges have been filed at this time. They say they were told the case currently involves the crash and other traffic-related violations, and they are hoping additional surveillance footage from nearby homes or businesses may provide more information.
The family is asking anyone who may recognize the woman in the video or who has surveillance footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact law enforcement. Any information should be provided directly to investigators so it can be reviewed as part of the case.
The allegations described above are based on the family’s account and have not been independently verified. Here’s some video footage.
